Membership

The membership application process at Mahoning Country Club typically takes two to four weeks from initial inquiry to approval. You begin by contacting our membership office or submitting an online inquiry. Next, we schedule a personalized tour of the facilities so you can experience everything firsthand. After the tour, you complete a formal application that includes two sponsor references from current members. Our membership committee reviews applications on a rolling basis, and most applicants receive a decision within two weeks of submission.

Monthly dues cover access to all standard club amenities including the golf course, dining facilities, fitness center, pool, and tennis courts. There is a one-time initiation fee that varies by membership category, which can be financed over twenty-four months. We do not charge annual assessment fees. Optional services such as private golf lessons, personal training sessions, spa treatments, and private event hosting carry separate charges at member-exclusive rates. A modest food and beverage minimum may apply depending on your membership tier.

Yes, members may upgrade or change their membership category at any time by contacting the membership office. If you are upgrading to a higher tier, the difference in initiation fees will be prorated based on what you originally paid. Downgrades are also available and take effect at the start of the following billing cycle. Our membership director, Margaret Chen, works closely with each member to ensure they are always in the category that best fits their current lifestyle and needs.

Members are welcome to bring guests to enjoy the club's facilities. Each member may bring up to four guests per visit for golf, dining, or social events. Guest fees apply for golf and certain amenities. The same guest may visit the club up to six times per calendar year before being encouraged to apply for their own membership. Corporate members receive enhanced guest privileges, including the ability to host larger groups for business entertainment and golf outings.

Currently, most membership categories are open and accepting new applications without a waitlist. However, certain categories may have limited availability depending on the time of year and current enrollment levels. We recommend reaching out to our membership office early if you are interested in joining, particularly for Family and Corporate memberships, which tend to see higher demand during the spring and summer months. We are happy to place you on a priority notification list if your preferred category is temporarily at capacity.

We understand that circumstances change. Members who wish to resign must submit a written notice at least thirty days before their desired termination date. Any outstanding balances on your account, including remaining initiation fee installments, must be settled upon resignation. There is no resignation fee. If you wish to rejoin within two years of resigning, you may be eligible for a reduced initiation fee at the discretion of the membership committee. We also offer a membership hold option for members facing temporary relocations or life changes.
